Classification: Query
Surnames: Bouche, Boucher, Gerard, McConnell
I have ggggrandparents Joseph Bouche and Marguaritte Aubert Bouche. They had sons Joseph b Feb 9, 1773 and Sigisbert b April 8, 1776 both in Veaine-Sous-Amance, Meurthe-Et-Moselle, Lorraine, Fr which is an eastern suburb of Nancy and I believe is close to Longeville. This data is per LDS IGI. I do not know if they had any girls.
Joseph Jr. had a son Charles born Nov. 24, 1796 in the same town who may have been a doctor in the French military. He married Marie Anne Theresa Gerard Jan 11, 1825 in Remereville, Meurthe-Et-Moselle, Lorraine, Fr. They immigrated to the US in about 1828 per his Wayne Co. Indiana naturalization papers. He died abt. March 14, 1841 in Richmond, Indiana.
I understand that Boucher, Bouche and Bushay were all spelling variations of the same surname. Does any of your information suggest that your Marguarite Boucher could be related to my Bouches?
