I stand corrected about the presence of censuses, but the absence of any evidence (available microfilms at the LDS Family History Library) or online records lead me to that conclusion.
I concur with "thiesenhusen4" that the church records are a good place to start, but unfortunately you must have the exact village.
I must repeat that the time period you are interested in is too close to the 100 year secrecy law period, and the records are not easily available to us. You will need to visit the archives in the region to do your research or hire a local researcher.
