I am the descendant of a repatriated French family from Algeria. Many Pieds Noirs from Algeria, Tunesia, and Maroco settled in the south of France and a huge number in Carnoux-en-Provence near Marseille. I grew up in France just after the “return” of the Pieds Noirs in France.
