We were searching the Morman Database and realised that you were also searching the history of the Joubert family. We are researching the Australian branch of the family, which origionally settled the Hunters Hill area of Sydney. We have traced the French branch of the family back to Jean Louis Joubert, fils de Jean Louis Joubert de Marguerite du Rousseau, ne le 15 Avril, 1757 a Saint Andre (Angouleme). - Dec le 17 Mars 1843 à Rioux, Canton de Gemozac (Charente Inferieure).

We are also aware of a painting housed in the Louvre Museum, of General Joubert who was the Priemier General of Napoleon - painted by Girodet. The painting is Ossian Receiving the French Generals of Napoleon at the Palace of Odin. It is a pastich of a painting held at the Chateau de la Malmaison.

Are you aware of any connection between the Joubert's of Angouleme and General Joubert. Also do your researches extend further back than ours currently do. We would be pleased to assist you in your researches and to share with you any information we have.
