Hi Christine.

The only articles I have are a couple of extracts from the London Gazette which feature my ancestor when he received the DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross) and then the Bar to the DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross) and an article that was on the Dix Noonan Webb Medals website when his medals, log books and other pieces were put up for auction and also a newspaper article that appeared in a newspaper here in New Zealand in the part of the country where he came from at the time he died. This is all I have.

I just thought it would be nice too see what the French perspective was about his death and perhaps it might offer me some more insight into this ancestors of mine.

Yes I am told that William is buried in Rouquiers Cemetery in Istres and have a photograph of his gravestone there.

Kind regards,
Michaela :-)
