Searching for a Léontine Léon of SP&M, who removed to Sydney, NS after 1911 census. Married a William Gaudet. Would anyone have dates of birth, marriage or death for her? I know they had 6 children, a son and five daughters, one of whose obituaries I found at the Cape Breton Mailing list archive. Another daughter married a Maurice -Alexandre Confiant of SP&M.

Could someone please help me find my g-grandmother's aunt and uncle in St. Pierre.. my grandmothers name was Elizabeth Slaney...when her father, Joseph Slaney died ( drowned, abt 1872) she was left with her aunt and uncle in St. Pierre, her mother, Mary Ann Quirk came to N.S. I don't know if this aunt and uncle was on the Slaney side or the Quirk side of the family...Elizabeth was abt three at the time and stayed until she was fourteen or fifteen, then she came to N.S. also. I also was told Elizabeth used to clean tables at a resturant that was operated by Madame LeBlanc..any help would be greatly appreaciated...thank you in advance.

Hello all...am looking for our Ruelland family that at some point mid -late 1800's , supposedly were at St. Pierre et Michelon..My maternal grandmother was to have been from there and they emigrated to Cape Breton. I did look at one site for family names of the area but saw no Ruelland's or variants of the spelling. does anyone have any idea what kind of variants I may be looking for since the name may have been Anglicanized{?]..

Maybe someday I will. I did get to Louisbourg and visited the archives where I found some information on Joseph Briand, my 4th great grandfather. That was neat. I tried emailing Mr. Langlois whose website appears to be the only one with genealogical info on St. Pierre et Miquelon. However, his email address indicated on the web site does not work. Hello, I am seeking information concerning the French ship Les Trois Soeurs which wrecked at Cape Race, NFLD on return to St-Pierre and Miquelon from St-Malo, with its Acadian passengers. I have the listing of passengers from Michel Poirier's book already, but what I wanted to find out was more about the history of the ship; when built, number of crossings, etc. Is there any database which might contain this information? or does anyone on this message board have more info regarding it? When my greatgrandmother, Hannah (Pine) Evans died in 1931 she was survived by a sister Elizabeth Slaney of St. Pierre et Miquelon. A Roman Catholic marriage record reveals that in 1876, her sister, Elizabeth Pine of English Harbor West, married a Joseph Slaney of St. Lawrence, at St. Jacques, Nfld. I have been unable to find anything further on this particular couple. A 1916 "liste" at St. Pierre has a Joseph/Elisabeth Slaney, a Pierre, and a widowed Richard Slaney but I cannot be sure if this would be my couple. Can anyone enlighten me or perhaps direct me as to where I may find more information.

On the marriage record it states that Jacques Joseph Mermond was the son of Joseph Mermond and Marguerite Mercier. Marie was the daughter of Joseph Babin and Marine LeBlanc. Adele and Robert had two children born in Charlestown, Suffolk Co., MA:
