It would appear that the town you are looking for is spelt Avezzano, province L'Aquila.

I had a look at WW1 Draft & there is an Antonio Scipione (dob 22nd Sept 1888) listed there from Avezzano as well as another entry at Ellis Island in 23rd Dec 1912 that could also be him on another trip (he states that he was in Ohio).

The LDS have microfilmed civil registration records from 1809 -1865 & but as you have his parents' names, you may be lucky to find their births (rule of thumb is every generation is 20-30 years!). I would write to the Commune to try & find if their marriage is recorded there.

You may have better luck with Martina as civil registrations of Campodipietra, province Campobasso have also been microfilmed from 1809-1910 by LDS
