I undersatnd my ancestors came from Chiavenna, Como to the UK possibly fleeing the Neopolitain war.

Does any one have any information on the Gironimo, Geronimo or Jeronimi families - departing Italy during this period or any information of any kind. The earliest name I have in the UK dates around 1800

I have been to Chiavenna on one occassion and certainly the graveyard had many old and new headstones engraved with this name.
