Carlo Ferdinando MAURI

I'm looking for possible relatives or Information in Italy or Switzerland of Carlo Ferdinando Mauri born 1885 in in Garbagnate Monastero, Lombardia, Italy, married to Giovanna Agostina Dacomo son of Antonio and Giovanna Mauri nee Redaelli, last know residence canton of Fribourg in Switzerland.
I have the marriage certificate, he was married to my great great aunt. I have checked all possible sources in Switzerland but got stuck.

I needed (still need) a search at a church. You had stated you would call/visit the municipality and get the civil records. I informed you that I do not need a municipality search as that was done prior to my posting for a search at the church.

The biggest issues are: I need someone that speaks Italian, can take a photograph of the document, translate the document and will deal with the priest on his time table.

If you are still willing to do a search then we can discuss this privately by email and work out an agreement.

I'm sorry. I don't remember what transpired in our direct correspondence. I thought you were going to give me some specific instructions but I really don't remember. I am still willing to help, in any case. I don't remember what time period you are interested in, but I might add that I recently found that anything after 1861 (Unification of Italy) can be found more easily in the civil records than in church records, but you have to go to the municipality in question. I was able to get an "Atto di Matrimonio" for my great-grandparents that also shows the names (including maiden names) of their parents as well as their addresses at the time of marriage. I was told that I can also request a "Stato di Famiglia" which would show the names of all those belonging to the same family present at the same address at a given date. It could be costly because you have to pay for every name that shows up (5 Euro) but in that you should have names and birthdates as well as place of birth for each family member. The records are for the most part all hand-written, however, and it takes quite alot of time to get them.

This expedition was never made as the person interesed did not follow up with specific instructions, but we did communicate directly. If I remember correctly she was to get back to me.

If you are not in a big hurry, I can do that for you, but I'm not sure just how soon. I live about 45 minutes from Primaluna.
Unless you find someone who can help you sooner I could maybe get there sometime in May.
