Have you tried www.canada411.ca the Canadian on-line telephone directory?

From the homepage select WHO?? type vankooten (one word) WHERE?? Ontario FIND or you can try the rest of Canada, but most are located in the province of Ontario.

You'll see quite a number of Vankootens including an A Vankooten and an Anthony Vankooten.

Some of the other people might be related to the Andy you are looking for. Try to look for people in similar cities, they may know each other or Andy.
