Members of my family moved to Holland in the late 18th century but kept their British nationality for the first generation. Later generations became Dutch. I have been trying to research them but our surname = Jackson - is a common English one and even when I enter a named male ancestor into the search records, who lived in Holland, via an advanced search,it still throws up all the Jacksons that ever were, male and female, everywhere.
Is there any way of narrowing the search to a specific country like Holland?
