the spelling of any names is as it is in the church records books.

the marriage at st hilda's church, hartlepool, on 30 july 1837:

richard newton, aged 23, and a ship carpenter.
son of robert newton, a mariner.

margaret dayman, aged 18.
daughter of william dayman, a mariner.

the baptisms at st hilda's church, hartlepool - no actual dates of birth given.

on 14 january, 1845:

eleanor, daughter of richard newton, shipwright and margaret darnon (damon?).

on 28 january 1847:

william, son of richard newton, carpenter, and margaret damon. robsons buildings, hartlepool.

mary elizabeth is, as stated on previous message, the daughter of thomas and isabella. in 1871 census both isabella and mary elizabeth are in harwich, essex, but thomas may have been on a ship abroad.
