Thank you so much for the information. Since my last post I have found out the father of Ben Schuur was Hindrik Schuur b. 10 Nov 1859 inj Finsterwolde d. unknown. Ben Schuur's mother was Anna Knapper b. 24 Dec 1861 in Nieuw Scheemda d. unknown.

I don't know how accurate this information is. Tjaardina Schuur and Berend Schuur's birthdates are 7 months apart. But Berend could have been born premature(?). The rest of his information from Ben Schuur and his descendants is accurate except one entry.

Could someone tell me if there was something going on in the Netherlands at that time that would have made these people move so much. I have a picture of Ben Schuur as a young man (probably abt 20 years old) in a uniform with a sword on his belt.
