Arend Kerkhoff settled in Ridott and German Valley, Stephenson County, Illinois area. All these surnames are from the same family.

Berend (Ben)Klooster and Aaltje (Alice) Toren came to USA from Groningen in about 1905 with their children. The children married into the Schuur, Stykel, Zweep families. Ben Schuur emigrated to the USA from there but I'm not sure when he emigrated. He was born in 1882 in Holland. He married Anna (Alyce) Sweep (Zweep) in Stephenson Co., IL in 1911. So, he emigrated sometime between 1883 and 1910.
