Francina thankyou very much for such great information, we are looking forward to the next instalment!.
My husbands grandfather Leonardus (13/11/1887) married Ellen Mundy (nee Wood,he was her 2nd husband)6/4//1918 in North Shields Tynemouth,he died 19/4/1956 in North Shields). They had 3 children Leonora 28/5/1918, twins Leonard and Nellie 3/5/1920.
Leonora married Sidney Grounsell 24/3/1940 and they had 4 sons Sidney 1940,Gerald 1947-2003,David 1948, and Leonard 1950. Sidney lives in Spain,Gerald lived in Whitley Bay Tynemouth, David is in Germany and we are in Kent.
I had a feeling you were living in the Netherlands, don't know why, so it was a surprise to learn you are in the UK.
