The 1910 census shows him living with his parents and 4 siblings living in Monroe/Turner S.D. His parents, Herke Joffer born 13 Feb 1862 in Winkel & Aafje Dikstaal born in Nibbixwoud, married on 16 March 1883 in Barsingerhorn.
