I am looking for information on William H. Schults, born abt 1838 in Ohio. William is my husband's great-great-grandfather. I know that William was in Davis County, Iowa in 1866. He has a son whose name is either Issac or Richard that was born 03 Aug 1866 in Davis County.

William Schults married Sarah E. Pollock on 20 July 1871 in Ottumwa, Wapello Co., Iowa.

On his marriage record Richard (or Issac) lists his parents as William H. Schults and Sarah E. Pollock. However, since William and Sarah did not marry until 5 years after the birth of Richard/Issac I am not certain if she is really his mother or not.

I can find nothing on William H. Schults prior to the birth of his son in Davis Co. but census records indicate he was born in Ohio.

Any information on William H. Schults, Sarah E. Pollock, and Issac/Richard Schults would be greatly appreciated.
