I have traced my wife's ancestry back to Fradrik de Ridder (De Redder) born around 1793 married to Mary Baines and father to William de Redder, Ship's Captain, born around 1813 in Blakeney, Norfolk and married to Elizabeth Heron.
I have a copy of William's portrait.
Do you know any further background?
E.g. Was Fradrick from Belgium or Holland?
