I have just found Solomon Hart (son of Solomon and Margaret) on the 1911 census. Have you had a look? Do you know who the Southworths are living at the same address. They are listed as neice and nephew but don't appear on my Hart tree. Are they perhaps the neice and nephew of Solomon's wife? Also is Marjorie their daughter? Very confusing.
Now this is a very long shot - do you have a photograph of Solomon or Margaret? It would be fantastic to see one.

Birth certificates started all over the Netherlands in 1811. Before that time are only baptizm records of the various christian churches. Napoleon ordered that all churches should give their records to the government. They are avai;able at the various government archives. They are also photocopied by the LDS and can be ordered at their family history centers.
The dutch name is probably Frederik or Fredrik. Fradrik is not a dutch name. He is not baptized in Amsterdam accordong to their site https://stadsarchief.amsterdam.nl/archieven/archiefbank/inde...

I am looking for a mariner Frederick (Fradrik) de Ridder born approx 1794 somewhere in the Netherlands.
His father was possibly a Dutch sea merchant. Frederick somewhow arrived in Blakeney, Norfolk, England approx 1805 -1810. He wed there in 1812.
Any help to find where to look for Dutch birth certs would be much appreciated.

I think we have the same ancestors. Yout grandfather Rijk was the brother of my grand-grandfather Jacobus Gerrit who also lived in Hilversum and founded the company Dekker Natuursteen.I also met children of someone who died in Bennekom, Van Balverenweg 5 and was, if I 'm right, a son of Rijk as well.

Can you verify this?

I dont have any more information about him being thrown out - it came from my grandmother, his great grand-daughter. He was Jewish and his wife, well, wasn't.... but I haven't been able to prove it beyond that as he has been so difficult to root out. It can't have come out of knowhere though and my grandmother was relatively reliable when it came to family stories - most of what she has told me before she died turned out to be provable in some shape or form.

He has been an enigma for a fair few years and the Hartog Salomon connection seems to have been by a process of elimination!

Thanks for the reply. I am very interested in the Harts as they were my Great Great Grandparents. I only have info from when Solomon came to Liverpool. Do you know anything from before, in particular the family in Holland? Your family story about Solomon being thrown out for marrying a gentile is the first I have heard of this. Do you know any more info on this?

I am Linda's cousin and just noticed your post. Linda and I, and various other family members, have been trying to track down Hartog Saloman and his possible son Saloman Salomon who possibly changed his name to Solomon Hart when he came to the UK.

Solomon Hart's family is huge and its really a process of elimination that we have connected Hartog and Beletje.

As far as I am aware they were Jewish and Solomon Hart was thrown out of the family for marrying a gentile (family story).

I know that the Meeues family lived in Amsterdam during world war II, they moved after the war to Weesp and still live in the direct surroundings of Amsterdam. Further I know that most of the Meeues man are named as Johannes Cornelis, my father also for expamle as wel as my son JC Meeues

His father's name was also Jan. His mother's Maria Scholten. You might want to check the names Cronselaar, Krompselaar, Ronzelaar, Cronzelaar etc. as well. Some of the family ended up in the Zaanstreek, some in Utrecht, some more in Rotterdam, and some others throughout Gelderland.

There are a number of records of this family in Genlias.nl, a dutch database for geneology, you can select for english. For some records you may have to go to the archives of Amsterdam since they keep their own records.

Recently I discovered that at least 2 of my familymembers emigrated to Grand Rapids USA. This happened in the years between 1881 en 1894 I am still looking in to when exactly). They were my great grandmother Willemina Hogeslag (born 1839) and her brother Gerrit (Jan) Hogeslag (born 1849). Before they left to the USA they lived in Neede (The Netherlands).

Michiel Tiesen died on September 7, 1868 in Broekhuizen (Oijen)at the age of 55. I haven't been able to find a date of birth yet as the province of Limburg (where Broekhuizen is) doesn't have all it's data online yet.

Michiels parents were Jan Tiesen and Maria Heckens. Besides daughter Joanna there were many more children.
Your questio wasn't very clear as what you were looking for so if you need more/other information please state exactly what you want.

I found several Houtcoopers living in Amsterdam and Schevengen. Dr. Joop Houtcooper is one of them and is an engineering professor at University of Amsterdam.

We tried to meet each other several times but our schedules prevented a meeting.

Thanks for the information. We think that Petrus and Cecilia were his grandparents and that maybe they had a child that passed named Anna Maria. His mother was born in 1921 so they might have named her the same as the deceased child.

With the http://www.genlias.nl/ site I found they were parents of Katharina Johanna Schotvanger, born 13 Aug 1875 in Egmond-Binnen, Noord-Holland.
