On the one hand you say "I just found the parets" and then you say "there may or may not be a realtioship".........Very clear.........You can not have it both way s "I found them" and "and there may or may not be a relationship".....If you found one there is. Period.



The original question was if there was a relation to Jacob van Ess (1559-1666) we really don't know, the OP was stuck on Pieter van Es born around 1758. I just found his parents, and they are probably from Leiden, I haven't looked that far yet. The OP never had Pieter's parents before, or where they were from. There may or may not be a relation, but to answer the question we have to go back in time step by step.
