If there were 4 brothers who went to Venezuela from Spain, one joined Bolivar's Army and three went to Puerto Rico in the early 1800's, what happen to the other 2 brothers? I only know of one brother who went to Puerto Rico. His name was Jose (or Joseph) Archilla Trigo(s), who was married to Maria de las Mercedes Rivera(o) Ravelo. They were my 3rd Great Grandparents. Their son Joaquin, who was born in Caracas, Venezuela and his wife Carmen Felipa Ramos Rodriguez, were my 2nd Great Grandparents.
Where did the Archilla surname originate?
Are there any information on the Archilla Family before the 1500's?
Did the Archilla surname come from the Basque region of Spain?
Also, someone here said that one Archilla ancestor had a link with the Spanish Royals? What's the link?
I was told that one Archilla ancestor fought with Ferdinand the Saint, to drive out the Moors from Spain. Is story true?
