"I am interested in tracing my great grandfather's lineage. From birth records of his children born in the Philippines, I have deduced the following: his name was Cecilio Santa Maria y Hierna (unsure if his mother's apellido is spelled Hierna) and he was b. ca 1875 in Burgos, Burgos, Spain. I have not done any genealogical research in Spanish records before. Can someone explain to me how easy it is to access records in Spain as well as how I decide where I should start looking for information on my great grandfather there. Thank you."
