Alguien tiene informacion sobre el apellido YARZAGARAY?
Vivo en Aruba y hay una familia con ese apellido y dicen que es basco, pero no han podido conseguir mucha informacion.
Tambien hemos notado que en Cartagena, colombia hay varias personas con este apellido.

Does anyone have info on the Surname YARZAGARAY? It's from basque origin, but this family (from ARUBA) couldn't find more information. I also noticed that the name appears also in Cartagena, Colombia

fermin married bonifacia orue echevarria de gaubecca daughter of mariano oru echevarria and baldomera de gaubeca murago. ignaccio married segunda ygnaccio. juan married segunda erezuma de ugalde daughter of miguel erezuma orbe and rita de ugalde moruaga born 1856 in alboniga vizcaya spain. rita's aprents were antono de ugalde and petra de muruaga. juan, felipe, ceodora, ancensio, and igaccio all came to us in the early 1900s to brooklyn new york. most of them had jobs on the ships, fireman, oiler, etc.

I am trying to trace my fathers side of the family. His mother was born in Bilbao in November 1898 her name was Amparo Echevarria or Echebarria and her fathers name was Ebaristo. My fathers father was born in Santander (Cantabria region) in 1892, his name was Florentino Alvarado and his fathers name was Marcelino Alvarado.

Amparo and Florentino left Spain, I think at different times, and met and married in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, UK in 1925.

I don't know who to contact in Spain to find out more information about their families.

Barrenechea and Ituarte families of Motrico

I am needing information on the family of my childrens grandfather. He was Saturnino Guillermo Barrenechea, born: June 1910 in Motrico, died Feb. 05, 2001 in Palma (his ashes were returned to his home town of Motrico). Satur Barrenechea was married to Francisca Esteva of Mallorca (still living). Satur's parents were: Juan Barrenechea, born: 1886 in Motrico, died: 1959 in Motrico + Joaquina Ituarte, born 1884 in Motrico, died Aug. 1963 in Motrico. The parents of Juan Barrenechea were Ignacio Barrenechea and Ipolita Goenaga. I do not have the birth dates or death dates of Ignacio or Ipolita, but I do know they both were born and died in Motrico. The parents of Joaquina Ituarte were Saturnino Ituarte and Josefa Garagarza. I do not have the birth or death dates for Saturnino Ituarte and Josefa Garagarza, but I do know they too were born and died in Motrico. Any extra information on this Barrenechea family will be appreciated.

Hello. I am researching my heritage. My great grandfather Marcos Elorriaga arrived in the United States in 1883 from Gamiz, Spain. He said he came over on a ship called Avila, which made a stop in Puerto Rico or Cuba. I cannot find any information on this ship.

I am hoping to make contact with anyone familiar with the surname Montori.

Dolores (?) and Joseph Montori were I am told of Basque origins. Joseph was b. March 14, 1890 in Spain and d. May ? 1969 in New York City, New York.
His wife Dolores was b. February 23, 1886 in Spain and d. June ? 1968 also in New York City. Before coming to the United States Joseph and Dolores moved to England. There 5 children were born in England...Dolores, Joseph, Carmela, Henny and Juanita. I am related to Juanita who passed away in 2003.
Joseph came to New York first (1919)and the rest of the family followed sometime during 1925 from England.
What I am looking for is the name of Joseph Montori's parents and if possible the surname of Dolores and the names of her parents.

Loooking for info on or other family of Nicasio Espeleta-Gaviria, born December 1855 in Antzuola, Guipuzcoa, Spain. His parents were Maria Engracia Gaviria and Hipolito Espeleta-Arrieta.

Nicasio left Spain and went to Uruguay. From there, he went to Costa Rica. He settled in Heredia, Costa Rica, and ran horse stable.

Nicasio had a child, Jose, with Micaela Chaves. Family lore says at the time, Nicasio was married to another woman. Jose was born in the late 1800's or early 1900's.

I would love to know more about Nicasios's Basque roots.
