Here's a more specific query.

I am trying to find the birthplace of Johann Bieler, b. abt 1843 to Peter Bieler and Maria Hänggi (I'm guessing on the orthography). Because of family stories about the bishop of Sion, Victor Bieler (b. Termen 1881 to Johann Bieler and Luise Borter), I am guessing that the Johann I'm interested in is from the same general area. He emigrated to the USA in the 1860s, perhaps 1863.

If anyone has easy access to the Glis parish register or other easily searchable information, I'd be so grateful for any definite information about the Bielers in Termen, and whether my great-great-grandfather can be found among them.
