Back in the 1970s-1980s, my father-in-law did primary source research on certain families in Canton Aargau. As a result, I have bits and pieces of info (usually spouse OR parent OR birthdate, sometimes more) on the following surnames. These folks generally date from the 1500s-1600s, with a *few* getting up into the early 1800s.
Baer, Bar, Bauhofer, Bauhofer, Baumann, Beiner, Bertschinger, Birrwiler, Boler, Briner, Brunner, Burger, Claus, Eichenberger, Elsisser, Engel, Erisman, Ernst, Felwer, Fischer, Fuchs, Galliker, Gautschi, Gawertschi, Giger, Glar/Gloor, Haller, Haller, Hauri, Hediger, Heedr, Heiz, Hemmig, Hilfiker, Hintermann, Hunziker, Irmiger, Keller, Leutwyler, Luscher, Meier, Mertz, Meyer, Morgenthaler, Muller, Rei, Ryser, Siegrist, Steiner, Strickler, Urech, Van der Egg, Vogt, Von Loo, Waber, Wirz, Zehnder.
I have more on the Bar/Baers than on anyone, as that was my mother-in-law's direct line.
I'm hoping to find matches, and will share what info I have.
