"KRAMER -- Katherine Margaret KRAMER, nee SCHAEFER, was born the sixteenth of March 1819, in Wester Cappeln Westphalia, and died in the faith of her Saviour, on the seventh of August 1900. In 1841, she was united in marriage to Herman KRAMER, who died three years later. In 1844, she was married to Henry KRAMER. During the year 1845, they emigrated to America and spent several years in the vicinity of St. Louis Missouri. They lived for fourteen years in Garnavillo (Clayton County) Iowa. Here, she was converted under the ministry of Pastor HESS. In 1857, she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church. Since 1865, she had been living on the Olive Branch (now KRAMER) Nebraska. She was one of eight, who was to witness the history of our Church at KRAMER from the very beginning. Because of the infirmities of old age, she was unable to attend Church for several years. She continued, however, to manifest interest in the welfare of the congregation. Some eight weeks ago, she grew seriously ill; her suffering gradually became more intense. On the seventh of August (1900), she experienced the hour of her release. Two children were born to her first union, one of whom had previously passed away. Five children sprang from the second union, two of whom are still living. She is survived by her husband, a son, and two daughters, twenty-one grandchildren, and forty great grandchildren. Rev. J.G. LEIST and Rev. John DEMAND spoke briefly, and then following preached the sermon using Hebrews 4:9 as his text. Kramer Nebraska - John A. NIGG - (from the "Christl. Botschafter.")"
