OBITUARY OF ELDEN GLEEN BURKS --CLIPPING IN POSSESSION
DATE ABT NOV 1911 --PROBABLY FROM CALLAHAN CO. STAR
Little ELDEN Gleen, infant of Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Burks, born January 2, 1911 died November 13, 1911, was laid to rest in the Cottonwood Cemetery on the morning of the 14th.
Little ELDEN had been sick only four weeks when he was called from this world of sin and sorrow to the home of eternal rest "Tis sad to part with so sweet a babe; only budded her to bloom in Heaven. He leaves a vacant cavity in his mother's heart that ne'er be filled, but yet they say "sleep on dear child, and take thy rest. God taketh away when He knoweth best," May the sustaining Grace of our Heavenly Father comfort and keep the breaved ones. He that said "Suffer the little children to unto me, and forbid the not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven," has seen fit to call this little one to Himself, Cheer up, dear parents, we shall soon meet little ELDEN in a better home when our work on earth is complete. Oh, thee joyful thought of meeting when the ransomed ones are gathered, never more to say good bye. A cousin, Fannie Anderson
