I am not related I just found this in the paper
BAIRD STAR, Friday, Feb 29, 1896
DEEP CREEK DOTS (Feb 18)
Again I have to chronicle a sad event. Mrs. Lillian Ligon, wife of Joe Ligon and second daughter of Mr. E E Beasley was called away by the pitiless hand of death last Saturday morning the 15th last. Deceased was about 23 years old and leaves besides the husband a little boy of years who fortunately has not yet the understanding for his irreparable loss. And there remains the grief stricken mother, the loving sisters and brother who mourn deeply the premature departure of the beloved daughter and sister. Sincere and just is their sorrow but they bow reverently before the will of the Father in Heaven and look hopefully for the reunion on the other shore. Rev. Carter of Cottonwood conducted the obsequice? at the Deep CREEK cemetery last Sunday and the whole community showed their hearty sympathy by a general attendance.
