Searching for my Nevill ancestors
My grandfather, Jesse Leroy Nevill, was born in Marfa on August 13, 1889. I was told that his father was James Kendall Nevill and his mother was Julia Rutherford, and that he had a brother named Rufus. I've been unable to learn more about my Nevill ancestors, but surely they are related to the illustrious Charles Lilborn Nevill of Texas Rangers fame who was a prominent citizen of Marfa at the time my grandfather was born there. (Note that my father added the "e" to the end of our name.)
Does anyone have information about the Nevills of Presidio County?
