Robert SPENDLOVE my gr gr grandfather was baptised Wirksworth 1823, one of 9 children of John (farmer) and Sarah SPENDLOVE. Robert was sent to school at Whiston, Rotherham and married Mary Ann STYRING in 1844 and settled in Rotherham. Robert's marriage certificate says he was born Belper, Derby but censuses give Ashlehaugh. I know nothing about the Derbyshire SPENDLOVES. Does anyone know anything about John & Ann or any of their descendants?
