I'm looking for relatives of SLOBIG and STEVENS. The SLOBIG name may be spelled:

SLOBIG
SLOBIC
SCHLOBIG
SLABIG
SLABIE
SCHLABIG
SCHLAPPIG
SCHLAPIG
SLOPTIG
SLOPPY

The earliest ancestor I can find is William SLOBIG, who was born January 1856 in Shamokin, PA. He married Elizabeth STEVENS, who was born August 1857, also in Shamokin, PA.

They had 3 children, all born in Shamokin, PA:
Mary or Mae or May SLOBIG, m. Andy McCahan
Charles b. February 1877 d. February 1938, m. Leticia Costello
John Franklin b. March 1880 d. October 1973, m. Margaret McGeough

Around the time of WWI this entire SLOBIG family moved to Chicago, IL.

I have heard that Elizabeth STEVENS was first cousin to HIPPLE in Philadelphia, PA. Also that at the time of the Revolutionary War, the STEVENS family had moved to Pennsylvania from Virginia and were related to DAVENPORT. But this information isn't verified.

Any information about William SLOBIG and Elizabeth STEVENS would be greatly appreciated.
