Thank you so very much for your reply!! I had figured out whom his parents were but not for sure if he was adopted. I'll see what I can find out about Nannie Mace living next to them. His maternal grandmother was a Cooper before marrying Henry Mace. I wonder if his father was a Cooper?
I guess she may not have been married when she had him. I know her other two sons always knew about him. I guess the mystery goes on.
