Phillip Kautz

1929-2004

Phillip "Ray" Kautz Sr., 74 of Cheyenne died Jan. 24 in Cheyenne.

He was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Cheyenne and had lived here all of his life.

Mr. Kautz was a policeman for the city of Cheyenne. He retired in 1975 as a sergeant.
He was a boilermaker apprentice for the Union Pacific Railroad and worked for the city
golf course retiring in 1995.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict and also served in the
National Guard.

Mr. Kautz is survived by his wife, Frances Kautz of Cheyenne, whom he married June 4,
1950, in Cheyenne; a son, Phillip Ray Kautz Jr. of Cheyenne; a daughter, Sandra Louise
Moser of Cheyenne; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Edna Kautz.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev.
David Caspersen officiating.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Friends may contribute to Adopt a Student Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church School,
Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church.

Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are.
This is here as a lasting memorial for Mr. Kautz.
