Hello there, I see you have put in a reply to mine as above from quite a while back. I am researching these names and have been collecting them for my database. I have many trees in various parts of GB. My own brick wall is a John ABDY who married a Mary HAWKE/S in Abingdon back in 1735, I have not found their parents but would think they were born in the early part of the 1700s.

I am also looking for the parents of the twins John and William ABDY born in 1806 and the parents of a John ABDY who married Mary KING, their son was transported to Australia. I believe I have found their parents but would love to get back in touch with the ABDYs of Australia as I know they were stuck on John and Mary. My two contacts seem to have changed their addresses but I am sure they would love to consider my findings.
