Sorry - didn't see this post until now. My great grandmother was Nejeme Abdo from Furzol/Ferzol/Forzol, Syria-Lebanon. It is a very small town just north of Zahle. I suspect that many people from Forzol said they came from Zahle because it was the closet large city known to others. She went by Mary Ferris in the US. She was born abt 1865 in Ferzol, emigrated abt 1981, first going to Chicago to see some of her relatives, and then went to St. Paul, then to North Dakota. She had a brother Abraham who never emigrated but had many children. Her father's name was Michael, a miller, and her mother was Noustas Bunijm.
