Hello I am family to BELARDO, but in the census it has been spelled Abelardo, and Velardo. I am from P.R. from what i see on the Abelardo side from 1858, which would be my Great great grandfather: SANTIAGO BELARDO/Peara?** abt. 1858, I find him as a lodger with a family with surname Ruiz/Garcia, (Paula/Josefa), in the 1910, census.
I then see my great grandmother Joaquina melendez Belardo (Rosario/Perez/melendez/Quinones) in the 1920, census with Santiago Abelardo abt. 1890, in Viequies, P.R. and in the 1930, Santiago Belardo Abt. 1890, we are told he died in 1929, I have "yet" to find proof of that. Also I she they had children together. I am Belardo Blood line and from I am told the Male from the Belardo/e, Velardo/e, Abelardo/e, Belardo/e. Ok I thank you again in advance. I family roots from P.R. from Joaquina Melendez But I don't seem to see where they have all gone. We are a preety good size family but it if sad to know that the Ancestriers had to be devided. hello i would like to ask you info about your family. I am family from Joaquina Melendez abt. 1895*, and (I think her spouse) Santiago A/Belardo abt. 1890, and his father had the same name. My e-mail: mrstilly90@yahoo.com.

My grandmother names is Arcadia Belardo abt. 1923/4*, and they would call he "Cayita".

Hello I am family to Belardo's from P.R. and from what I ahve head from my family our family came from Itialy back in the 1800's. I found my family in Viequiea, and Hato Rey, Rio Pedaras, and I St. Croix. but I am still trying to put this all together. my family name is abelardo in fact abelardo family had a grand reunion in Ozamis city in mindanao and our parents elected new officers to continue the tradition of our family on having a reunion every 3 yrs...

Hello! My name is Pia Faustino and I'm a researcher for I-WITNESS, a television documentary program of GMA-7 Network in the Philippines.

Our program is doing a documentary about the history Pasig River and would like to use the famous song "Mutya ng Pasig" which was composed by Nicanor Abelardo, Sr.

I was advised by the Filipino Society of Artists and Composers that to use the song, our program must get the permission of the descendants of Nicanor Abelardo.

Abelardo Family Tree from Anniversary Celebration in the Philippines

I contacted Ernesto V. Epistola today about a book he wrote, ‘Nicanor Abelardo, The Man and the Artist, A Biography’. He happens to live in Sarasota where I live. He told me about this tree being presented at the anniversary celebration and who I could contact to obtain a copy.

This came courtesy of a wonderful librarian at the University of the Philippines College of Music.

I just wrote back to the librarian and am hoping to find out the source of the illustration. I will post again when I find out.
