I believe Adam Horlacher of Coletta was the oldest brother of my grandfather, James. I have been unable to find information prior to his parents, Gottlieb Horlacher who married Elizabeth Spies.

Your reference is the first clue I have of where in Germany the family was from.

This is all I know except the usual family "tales" one of which was that my great great grandfather was with Napoleon on his campaign to and from Russia, and made it back and lived into his 80s ... always told that he was a "general"; but I find that probably an exaggeration.
