      <description>The stories we were told said they came from the Black Forest Area and yes, they were farmers. Found out the father and sons and one daughter came over in 1890's. We may be related. Do you have any additional information-trying to gather it. We have an Abend Family reunion in September, 2011-Severna Park MD-what area do you live in?</description>

      <description>I am looking for Rosine Abend. She married Heinrich Schmaltz somewhere in Russia. They had a daughter Augusta b. 4 Nov 1873 somewhere in Russia. She married Julius Schultz who was born 2 Feb 1864 Russia. They came to the US in 1906 through Canada with 6 children. The youngest died in Canada and they came to US. They had trhee more children in MI. I do not know if they are related to your Abends but can you help me?&lt;br&gt;Thank you.</description>

      <description>I have also tracked the Abend's to the Black Forest area. My great grandfather(Martin Abend) came from Wehengen am Spaichingen, Wurtemberg Germany. He was born in 1877.&lt;br&gt;I vistied the town of Wehengen several year ago. It is a farming community located just outside the Black Forest. At that time there was only one Abend still living in the towm.</description>

      <description>i am trying to locate where my family came from, we were told the black forest area of germany, however it appears to be some other&lt;br&gt;areas--wloclawek, which is called russian poland (gertz side) and on the abend side, there was a large estate near gustoshin. amelia anna was the daughter of wilhelmina and michael abend, born 4/13/1872 and she had three brothers michael, adolph and william. adolph was my great grandfather.&lt;br&gt;if anyone has any info, please share it with me a either email address..thanks.</description>
