I'm doing some digging on the net and if you can fit a Horace Calvin Abers b. 1841 into your ancestry, then you'll be related to my Charles Abers b.1799. Using the info that you gave me, Calvin-Earl-William S- *HORACE CALVIN ABERS- Charles the lineage might fit. Charles and Elizabeth had 5 children: Silas, Horace, Ann and 2 others (Mantie and Millie died w/o children). Your line won't fit unless you squeeze Horace in there. Unless you're of another line entirely. Charles & Elizabeth, Horace, and 2 of his children are all buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Town of Mitchell, Wisconsin. (records available online) It seems the only person missing is William Abers b. 1874. He is NOT buried in this cemetery. Which would make sense if he left the area to go start your line in Minnesota. I was just at the cemetery yesterday taking pictures, actually. Its only 5 minutes away. Horace C. Abers b. Oct.14, 1841 in Ontario, D. July 7, 1881. Wife is Zella A. Abers b. 1853 in NY. So, we still haven't solved any of the Charles mystery yet. Maybe someday:) And I haven't done any sort of hard searching other than googling names. Charles' wife Elizabeth is an Ostrom/Crittenden and those lines are all traceable back to The Netherlands and England, respectively. All that is available online free (someone did all the hard work already) So cool! Let me know what you think.
