Hi, the original message was posted 4 years ago, so I don't know that this will make a difference. Charles Abers was my great x 4 grandpa. I am looking for info on him also. He has a birthday of Feb. 17, 1799 born in Ontario, Canada. Died on Sept. 9, 1869. Married to Elizabeth Ostrom b. Dec. 10, 1808 d. Sept. 16, 1898 also born in Canada. Her parents are Simon Ostrom b.1779 and Lucy Crittenden b.1789. All 4 are buried in a cemetery right close to me. I think Elizabeth was an only child and her parents followed her to the Town of Mitchell, Wisconsin. I am having a lot of trouble nailing down anything on Charles, however, years ago, my grandmother used to tell me that one of her grandfathers was an orphan from Canada. It is possible that Charles Abers is that orphan. Maybe this will give us somewhere new to look.
