Donald Henry Abram, 89, of Ross Township,
died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012. He was the son of the late John Herbert Abram and Clara D. (Schleuning) Abram, and adopted son of E. Earl Abram. He was preceded in death by a brother, John H. Abram; and beloved son, Kerry Spring Abram. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Jane Spring Abram; dearly loved daughters, Joyce K. (Daniel) Pappert, of Mars, Darcy E. (Douglas) Gratz, of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Jennifer A. (Neal) Jackson, of Zelienople; seven wonderful grandchildren, Alaine, Lauren and Evan Pappert, Carmen Gratz and Kevin, Megan and Aaron Abram Jackson; and sister, Nancy (Donald) Budd, of Ross Township. Mr. Abram was a retired vice president of the Union National Bank of Pittsburgh, a longtime member of Wildwood Golf Club, a Master Mason of more than 50 years, being a member of Park Lodge No. 676, and Milnor Lodge No. 287 F&AM, and East Hills Royal Arch Chapter No. 268, and a member of Northmont United Presbyterian Church. During World War II, he was a sergeant in the Air Force. He was an avid golfer most of his life and an amateur genealogist. In 1986 he was co-founder of the Perry Alumni Club. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Northmont United Presbyterian Church.
