Abram is a common name in County Antrim, especially on the North East Coast. Previous research suggests that the name originated in Co.Fermanagh. Have just started trying to research it. It is my mothers maiden name. Her father was James Abram but also in some documents it is spelt Abraham.
Hope this helps.
Pauline.
