Thanks for the information. There is a lady in Pitt county who has information on Abramses from that area. I have not had any success in contacting her yet, but I keep trying.
Clearly, Arden's wife he married in 1839 is not Elisha or Williams mother. My grandfather was married three times, his father Redmond was married twice, and so was Elisha two or three times. The 1800s seems to have been hard on women.
