Hi Michele - My g-g-g grandparents were Nicholas Amberman (1796-1884)and Sarah Golder (1796-1832) and I'm descended through their son, Cornelius (1825-1883) and his wife Mary Ann Valentine (1834-1874), his son, William Post (1857-1928) and wife, Hannah Sarah Bedell, their son, George Herbert Amberman and his son, George Herbert Amberman, Jr. I was born in Jamaica and lived in Springfield for a few years. I think I'm related to half the people in Springfield Cemetery and we still have a deed to a plot there. I don't know anything about the Golders, other than I believe the undertaker in Springfield at the time my great grandfather (William P.) died was Wilbur Golder. I think I have a receipt for the funeral somewhere. If there's anything specific about the Ambermans you're interested in, let me know.
