I have two paintings from I think the late 19th c or early 20th c. They are signed Abrassart. They came from France many years ago. Does anyone have any information about Abrassart the French or Belgium artist?

Most of my family on my mother's side came over from from northern France which is southern Belgium now. I saw where there were a lot of Abrassart's. I haven't search much lately. Thanks. Teresa

Hello,
my Abrassart ancestors are from south of Hainaut, a belgian department (province). The oldest that I know is Herman Abrassart and his spouce Marie Françoise Bernard. They were living in Solre Saint Géry. It is there that I lose their trace. I have till now never met your ancestors.
I know some Abrassart living in the States and coming from Boussoit (Belgium, region of Mons).
