I have a big mess of Abrego/Abrigo families from the Cameron County area that I am trying to piece together. Hopefully this info will be useful to someone who is searching that area. I am mainly trying to find the connection between the multiple Julio's, Nicolas's and Monico's. Alot of the dates I have came from censuses so they may not be correct. But here is some of what I have.

Julio Abrego b. approx 1848 in Mexico
Children with his unknown 1st wife;
1. Julio b. 1/1889 married Paulita Longoria d. 10/1938
2. Monico b. abt 1881
3. Juan b. abt 1883 married Celestina _______?
4. Romana b. abt 1886
5. Arturo b. abt 1892
6. Manuel b. abt 1894
Children with his 2nd wife, Flora ___________?
1. Olivia b. abt 1900
2. Genoveva b. 4/1903 m. Emilio Flores d. 12/2001
3. Candida b. abt 1906 d. abt 1917
4. Monico b. abt 1908 may have died 1917

Another Julio Abrego b. abt 1855 Mexico m. Angelita Gonzales
Children:
1. Josefa b. abt 1877
2. Manuela b. abt 1878
3. Mauricio b. abt 1879

I have a few Monico Abrego's, two were mentioned above, but I have no wife or children for any of them. The other ones I have:

Monico Abrego b. abt 1898 to Timoteo Abrego & Natividad Villanueva.

Monico Abrego b. abt 1915 to Julio Abrego & Paulita Longoria.

Monico Abrego (or Monico de Abrigo) as a Civil War soldier for the union.

Here are the Nicolas's.

Nicolas Abrego b. abt 1842 in Mexico m. Refugia ____?
Children:
1. Faustina b. abt 1866
2. Jesus b. abt 1867
3. Celestino b. abt 1871 m. Paula Esparza Rodriguez
4. Juan b. abt 1876
5. Manuelita b. abt 1877
6. Maria b. abt 1880

Another Nicolas Abrego b. abt 1880 m. Francisca____?
Children:
1. Refugia b. abt 1910
2. Luz b. abt 1912
3. Armando b. abt 1914
4. Jesus b. abt 1915
5. Nicolas b. abt 1919

Nicolas Abrego (or Abrigo) as a Civil War soldier for the Union. Could possibly be the one born in 1842 mentioned above, but not sure.

I have several other Abrego/Abrigo families documented so if they relate to Cameron County, feel free to email me at razbooo@aol.com and I'll be happy to help if I can. Also if someone can help me connect these people somehow, I'd appreciate any help.
