As I have told you before, your information has proved most useful to me. I have however still not been able to dig up much information about the maritime activities of Robert Absalom b. 1794 and his son-in-law William Wilson b. 1823 who married Robert's daughter Elizabeth. They had a ship and traded between Northumberland (probably Blyth) and Spain and that it was wrecked in the Bay of Biscay. I have found reference to William Wilson's Mariner's certificate but nothing much on Robert Absalom apart from the census info that he was a mariner.
