For Dykstra, or anyone else who had Abt family (originally from germany) who settled in Russia (Volga river area, near Samara (sp?)) in the 1800's.
My mother is Magdalena Eva nee Abt; her father, Florian, and uncle Killian settled in Saskatchewan, Canada (and later, to Ponoka, Alberta) having fled Russia in the 1920's. All I've ever heard is that most/all the Russian Abts were killed by the Bolsheviks during/after the upheaval of the Russian revolution. Better to know that there were other Russian Abts who managed to escape and settle in other areas.
Be great to learn if I have some long-lost relatives out there! Anyone?
