James Acey was born about 1844 or 1845 in possibly NC according to the census. He married Mollie Jenkins Jan 1901 in Southampton county, VA. It says he was widowed on the marriage certificate, but I have no clue who his first wife was.

I have found James Acey/Acy in the 1900 Southampton county, VA census and the 1910 Nansemond county, VA census. James Acey died July 1915 in Southampton county and is buried at Black Creek Church.

I have very little information on my Acey family. James Acey's parents could have been William Acey and Eliza Early. If anyone has any information please let me know.
