Hi there. i came across this website and it mentioned u had a knowledge of the Acey tree. ive been looking into it for a while and sadly found nothing that leads anywhere. I would be so grateful if u would be able to email me wot u know so i could show the rest of the family and share it with them before its too late. Ive asked my anties and dad but their memory isn't as good as it used to be and i would hate it for them to be told where our name originated from-as so it being quite a rare one.

I found a lady who is an Acey relative that lives in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Her mother and father used to live in Ontario. I don't know if you know about her or not. She is a descendant of William Acey, born in 1752, who is a younger brother of Joseph Acey. Let me know if you have this info and if you do not, I will be glad to share it with you. I'd better go for now. Thanks again for writing and I am loking forward to hearing from you again.

Best Wishes,

Allen

James Acey / Acy

James Acey was born about 1844 or 1845 in possibly NC according to the census. He married Mollie Jenkins Jan 1901 in Southampton county, VA. It says he was widowed on the marriage certificate, but I have no clue who his first wife was.

I have found James Acey/Acy in the 1900 Southampton county, VA census and the 1910 Nansemond county, VA census. James Acey died July 1915 in Southampton county and is buried at Black Creek Church.

I have very little information on my Acey family. James Acey's parents could have been William Acey and Eliza Early. If anyone has any information please let me know.
